Q: How do I know my machine is working properly?
A: Do daily test to make sure machine is working properly
Q: How do I replace rivets for new J-Hook?
A: Remove old rivet by gently prying up with a small screwdriver or knife.  Thoroughly clean wheels.  Attach new J-Hool.  Punch hole in J-Hook where rivet will go using sharp object.  Insert rivet using rivet gun and attachment for 3/32's pop rivets (rivets are provided in the J-Hook replacement kit.
Q: Is there a warranty on the diamond wheels?  If so, how long?
A: Each set of wheels has a warranty for 120 days or 500 bowling balls, whichever comes first.  However, we have received many reports of customers refinishing over 1000 bowling balls with one set of wheels.

Q: How do I do a Daily Test?
A: Daily test process:
1.  Without a ball in the machine, push down on the lever arm until it bottoms out.
2.  Move the stop lever out of the way.
3.  Slowly allow the lever arm to come up until it stops moving.
4.  Remove your hands from machine.
5.  Without using any force, check to see if there is any up or down play in the lever arm.
6.  If there is no play the machine should function properly.
7.  If there is play, the test failed.  Do the following: While moving the lever arm up and down, oil the center shaft under the rest paid with straight 30-weight motor oil (this should be done frequently).  Repeat daily test.

Q: What if my machine isn't getting the balls smooth.  What do I do?
A: If there has been a lot of use or strain on Diamond Wheels, they have broken down and need to be replaced.  Diamond Wheels usually do not wear out, but do break down after a lot of use.  If wheels are under warranty, they will be prorated (see Warranty).  If buffing pads do not clean up scratches from the initial Diamond Wheel resurfacing in 1-12 minutes, use the unitized block to clean the Diamond Wheels.  Then make certain you are achieving good oscillation with the buffing pads (some balls require assistance).  Finally, the wheels can be sent to the factory and be fixed.

It is possible that there may be a high spot on one of the wheels.  Identify which wheel is causing the scratches then identify the high spot.  Using the honing stone you can remove this high area.  It is important to only work that particular area.  Honing on the complete wheel can reduce the life.  Again, if you are unsure, send it to the factory for inspection.
